Defibrillator & Bleed Kit

A community defibrillator and bleed kit is located at the Hinds Head pub on Main Street, Norton in Hales TF9 4AT.

The What3Words reference for this location is:

SJ 70307 38610

The Parish Council and the local Volunteer Group manage the defibrillators (undertaking regular checks on the units) and in line with best practice they are registered on The Circuit (www.thecircuit.uk) which is the national defibrillator database.  This database is used by the emergency services and it ensures that the codes are available to them in an emergency.  The cabinets are locked.  In an emergency dial 999 for assistance giving the location for reference.  You will be given a code to unlock the device and the emergency services will assist you.  The Volunteer Group can also be called out by the ambulance service to take the defibrillator to a patient in need.

Operating a defibrillator is straightforward. Once the on/off button is pressed, the unit will give instructions to the operator, detailing how to apply the two chest pads and giving personal safety instructions to the user. Visual illustrations are displayed on the defibrillator itself and the cabinet.
